Description:
As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will play a vital role in our civil engineering projects using Autodesk Civil 3D software.
You will work closely with the engineering team to create, modify, and manage technical designs and plans, ensuring project accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D software to produce and revise civil engineering projects, including site development, grading, utility infrastructure, and road design.
Collaborate with engineers to implement design changes and improvements.
Assist in site evaluations and feasibility studies.
Ensure all project designs adhere to relevant codes and regulations.
Perform quality checks on engineering drawings and provide solutions to design challenges.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have experience in civil engineering projects, including site development, grading, utility infrastructure, and road design.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret red line drawings from Engineers, CAD Managers, or others on the project team.
Knowledge of civil engineering basics including sheet organization, topographical data, baseline stationing, scales, and coordinate systems is preferred.
AutoCAD drafting capabilities including Annotation Styles, Multileaders, MTEXT, Dimensions, Sheet Sets, Paper Space / Model Space, XREFs, Layers, Dynamic Blocks, and Tool Palettes.
A working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D includes an understanding of Civil 3D Annotation styles and annotation tools, basic understanding of key objects such as Surfaces, Alignments, Profiles, Profile Views, Pipe Networks and basic operations of performing Surface Analyses and Volume Calculations.
Basic understanding of the latest releases of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Adobe PDF, and Windows File Explorer.
Semi-retired, experienced designers, and engineers are very welcome to apply.
Occasional field work may be required.
Remote work is not an option.
